Drilling Equipment Specifications.

The F1000 and the F2000 are both designed and built by Falcon Drilling and are diesel powered hydraulic type. Drills are powered with either a 4 cylinder Isuzu turbo diesel (100Hp) or a 6 cylinder Isuzu turbo diesel (150HP). A hydraulic system, driven by the engine, is used to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity, minimum down time and simple operation. The drill has a 5 foot stroke for maximum core recovery and production. A hydraulically powered pressure pump is used for hole flushing, bit cooling and pumping Bentonite or Polymer down the drill hole.
The machine consists of four main components: engine, hydraulic pack, feed frame including the drill head, the feed frame base including the wire line winch. The drill is designed to be quickly disassembled into the four components and moved easily with a light helicopter such as the Hughes 500D or Bell 206.

In addition to our own F1, F1000 and F2000 drills, other equipment such as the Boyles BBS56 and Long Year 38 are also available for even deeper drilling requirements.

F2000 Drill:- A more powerful and flexible version of the F1000 this drill can penetrate deeper and handles HQ and NQ bit sizes as well as BTW. It is designed around the same concept of reliability and ease of use. It also breaks down into the same four modules and can be moved as easily as the F1000. Both drills can be moved and reassembled with only 2 ground crew. If helicopter support is not required or available the drills can be equipped with skid frames to enable relocation using a bulldozer or skidder.
