The low power VHF-FM duplex repeater provides full VHF radio coverage for the entire exploration area as
well as a communications link to El Ranchito airport and the drilling camp. The unit is based on a design
developed by Falcon Drilling over a 15 year period. It is powered by a 75 watt Siemens solar panel that charges
a 12 volt battery and transmits at a maximum of 5 watts. Design has been simplified to such a degree that the client's
personnel can install the system simply by following the written instructions.
